In February 2016 in Bodh Gaya, during Tashi Tseringma puja, His Holiness Karmapa had a very clear vision concerning the birth of the new incarnation of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche. In that moment he wrote down a prediction letter containing signs, which appeared in his vision. He handed the letter to Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche on 24 February, at 10.45, in the presence of the entire board of Benchen monastery. Then, His Holiness Karmapa and His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche selected the members of the search party, which would look for yangsi Tenga Rinpoche.

Chakdzö Tenpa Yarphel, Chakdzö Tashi Oser, Khenpo Ysung and Dorje Lobpon Tsultrim Rabten from Benchen monastery were appointed. Khenpo Gawang, representing Tsurphu Labrang was nominated as the head of the expedition.

Prior to that His Holiness advised that, in order to remove obstacles that could occur during the search for the new incarnation, one hundred million Guru Rinpoche mantras (OM A HUNG BENZA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG) and ten million Praises to Twenty-one Taras should be recited.

Benchen community as well as some of our benefactors have sponsored the recitation of the Praises to Twenty-One Taras in many monasteries and nunneries in Nepal, India and Bhutan, as well as Tibet. Some 6 700 000 repetitions were accumulated already by the beginning of April. Still, in some places, monks and nuns are requested to continue the recitation, to accumulate the remaining 3 million repetitions.

His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa performs Tsheringma Puja

In March 2016, His Holiness Karmapa performed a three-day, elaborated Tashi Tseringma puja, also with the intention of ensuring that all matters and circumstances connected with the new incarnation of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche are favourable. The event took place in Thrangu Rinpoche's monastery in Sarnath (Varanasi, India).

Nuns and monks from Thrangu Rinpoche's monastery, as well as Benchen monks, joined these prayers. His Holiness Karmapa requested the great Umdze Bai Kama from Rumtek monastery in Sikkim to lead the ritual, along with three umdzes from Benchen. From 21 March, Karma Pakshi tsok was offered in the mornings, while Tseringma drubchen took place in the afternoons. The pujas concluded on 23 March.

The entire community connected with Benchen monastery feels great joy and gratitude for His Holinesses' significant involvement in all matters connected with the return of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche.

According to Chakdzö Tenpa Yarphel, news concerning the new incarnation of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche can be expected only after completing the prayers advised by His Holiness Karmapa.

It would be very helpful, if everyone who wishes to do so, would join in the recitation of Guru Rinpoche mantras. With this common effort, we will be able to accumulate one-hundred million repetitions. The number of completed recitations can be reported to the lamas in charge of individual centres, who will pass the information on to the monastery.

In Poland, it is best to send the information to the office of the Centre in Grabnik. Over one million four hundred thousand repetitions of Guru Rinpoche mantra were reported to our office by the end of May.
