22 February 2026

In 2026, the first day of the Tibetan New Year falls on Wednesday, February 18th. It will be the Year of the Horse (element: fire). Since the first fifteen days of the New Year are considered especially auspicious, for practical reasons we have scheduled the ceremonial Losar celebrations for Sunday, February 22nd.
