30 August - 1 September 2019 (3 days)
Venerable Sangter Rinpoche will be the head Lama leading the 10th Polish Kagyu Monlam. As usual, lamas from Benchen Monastery in Nepal, as well as Polish lamas will join the prayers.
On the second day, Rinpoche will bestow the Guru Rinpoche Sampa Lhundrub empowerment.
To mark the 10th anniversary a slideshow from previous Kagyu Monlams in Poland is also planned.
Kagyu Monlam, which takes place every year in Bodhgaya in India, is weeklong prayers for the welfare of all beings. It brings together representatives of Kagyu monasteries, ordained sangha and lay practitioners from around the world. Its branches are also organized in other countries, mainly in Asia and, since few years, also in Europe and America. The first European Kagyu Monlam was held in Poland in 2010.
His Holiness the Karmapa, who attaches great importance to these events, took also patronage over the ceremony in Grabnik. The Kagyu Monlam Committee selects the lamas who come here to prepare tormas and the altar as well as to lead singing.
