PROGRAMME REGISTRATION SUGGESTED DONATIONS FOOD GUIDE FOR PARTICIPANTS

PROGRAMME

Gutor is an intensive week-long Mahakala practice, which, in accordance with many-centuries long tradition of the Kagyu Lineage is performed before Losar - Tibetan New Year. We will practice from morning till evening, in four sessions.

The text of the puja can be recited only by people who have received the Mahakala Bernagchen empowerment, yet everyone can take part in this event. You can stay at this time in the temple and while listening to the puja recite the prayers you know or do your own meditation, you can also sponsor the stay or meals of the participants, or make donations for the materials needed to prepare the ritual (rice for offering bowls, oats for tormas, butter for torma ornaments, tealights, incense, tsok offerings etc.) or for refreshments for the participants. Thanks to these activities you will acquire merit and receive the same blessing as the participants who recite the puja.

Practice will begin with the evening session on the 27th of January (at 6:30 p.m.). Then from the 28th of January to the 3rd of February we will practice in four sessions daily, same way as every year.

1st session: 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.
2nd session: 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
3rd session: 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
4th session: 6.30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

On Sunday, the 3rd of February, there will be the culminating part of the week-long puja. Torma, which absorbs during the practice all negativities of the previous year as well as all the obstacles which may appear in the future, will be put into the fire and burnt.

We will conclude with the morning session on the 4th of February about 8:30 a.m.
