PROGRAMME
Led by: Khenpo Woesung
Seminar begins on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and ends on Sunday at about 5:00 p.m.
A treatise on distinguishing conditioned consciousness from primordial wisdom (in Tibetan: namshe yeshe jepey tencho) was composed by the 3rd Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje. It presents in a very clear and concise ways the Buddha's teachings about the empty nature of perceived phenomena and perceiving consciousness, and how our world is manifested in an interdependent way. Second part of the text shows how, after having traversed the path, we will attain the primordial wisdom of the Buddha and manifest Buddha’s activities for the benefit of the beings.
Because this treatise presents foundations of the view, it belongs to the most studied texts in the Karma Kagyu tradition, both as a basis for practice and as an introduction to the "middle way" philosophy. Therefore, we encourage everyone interested in a deeper and systematic study of Buddhism to attend these teachings - especially from Khenpo Woesung, who is a recognized knower in this field.
Khenpo Woesung is also a main representative of Buddha Maitreya Project – a committee responsible for rebuilding and renovating Benchen Monastery after the earthquake ten years ago. If someone would like to financially support this project, you can contact Khenpo Woesung directly.
