Khenpo Karma Tsewang Gyatso (known in monastery as Khenpo Nyima) became a monk in 1991 at Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. He received refuge vows from late Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche.
After his basic education he studied at Rumtek Monastery, Sherab Ling Monastery and Sera Monastery for 12 years. In 2010 he completed his studies with the Khenpo degree and was appointed Khenpo of the Benchen Shedra in Pharping, Nepal. After teaching at the Shedra for 8 years, he did a 3 year retreat at the Benchen Retreat Centre. He now administers the Benchen Shedra.
Khenpo Karma Tsewang Gyatso visited already Europe and has been teachings at Benchen Karma Kamtsang Centre in Grabnik.
This year he will explain the views of the four philosophical schools of Buddhism: Vaibhaṣika, Sautrantika, Cittamatra, Madhyamaka.
Khenpo Karma Rigzin Gyatso is one of the Khenpos of the Benchen Nangten Thösam Ling Shedra in Pharping, Nepal.
In 2002 Khenpo Karma Rigzin Gyatso entered Benchen Monastery in Kathmandu and took the refuge vow from Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche. He studied all the various rituals practises of our tradition. In 2007 he entered the Shedra in Pharping and began his studies in Buddhist philosophy.
In 2008 he took full monk ordination from Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche. After more than 10 years of intensive study, he obtained title of Khenpo and since than has been teaching at the Shedra.
This year Khenpo will teach the "Mulamadhyamakakarika - The Root Verses on the Middle Way", a famous Mahayana Buddhist text composed by the Indian master Nagarjuna.

Registration deadline (and prepayment for meals) – till the 12th of August.
Registration can be completed by using the REGISTRATION FORM. Please fill in the form also for any accompanying person not participating in the sessions.
All changes considering your stay should be submitted at least three days in advance.
SUGGESTED DONATIONS
Our Buddhist Centre in Grabnik is maintained exclusively by donations, therefore each, even very symbolic, amount offered money is important and appreciated. Those who would like to support us, may do the donations via transfer to our bank account or with a use of a debit card (see: donate) or in cash at the Centre.
Suggested donation (meals not included):
one day - 90 PLN
full seminar - 540 PLN
Additional stay not during the seminar – 30 PLN per day
Children and accompanying persons not participating in the sessions – 30 PLN per day
FOOD (only when prepaid and booked on time)
All meals are vegetarian.
Suggested donation: breakfast 16 PLN, lunch 28 PLN, dinner 16 PLN (full board - 60 PLN)
Please bring your own mug.
Prepayment is not equivalent to registering for the seminar. Please remember to register!
We are not able to guarantee meals to those arriving unannounced.
NOTE:
- We cannot guarantee meals to those who do not register and make a donation on time.
- Meals are served at fixed hours (breakfast at 8:30 a.m., lunch at 1 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.).
- Please think your order through. There are no returns for ordered and not used meals, unless a resignation is submitted three days in advance.
